Application of peristaltic pump in tissue perfusion experiment
Tissue perfusion is one of the experimental methods of pharmacological or physiological research in medical schools and scientific research institutions, such as when studying the distribution area of neurons in ex vivo brain tissue, in order to ensure the physiological activity of ex vivo tissues and organs during the experiment, it is necessary to continuously deliver oxygen-containing culture medium to ex vivo tissues or organs, which is called tissue perfusion. Tissue perfusion experiments can be suitable for the physiological and pharmacological research of blood vessels, smooth muscle, myocardium, coronary arteries, large intestines and other tissues and organs.
When performing tissue perfusion, peristaltic pumps are generally used in conjunction with electrophysiological devices to pump oxygen-containing culture medium to ex vivo tissues or organs, so that relevant experiments can be carried out smoothly. The peristaltic pump can adjust the control by setting the perfusion mode, perfusion rate, perfusion flow, etc., to adapt to different research needs and tissue construction needs.
